Florida Hospital SHARES International
Florida Hospital SHARES International seeks to deliver hope to needy children in selected countries through quality health care, education, and training by partnering with host country health care providers and Rotarians to build a positive legacy.
SHARES International is a mobilized force of medical professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to provide safe, effective reconstructive surgery and physical therapy for children born with facial and physical deformities. Through our Cleft Lip and Palate Program and our Physical Therapy Program, we continue to implement the strategic vision of being a catalyst for the development of sustainable solutions to local problems by community partners with local resources. Our mission is backed by local ministries of health and civic organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2011, we will partner with local healthcare providers in Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Jamaica.
Partnerships are one of the keystones of who we are. We are firm in our commitment to help build local expertise through ongoing training and sharing of best practices on an international level. Working through a collaboration of volunteers, business leaders, and government agencies, our goal is to help create a network of highly trained local medical volunteers that will provide the best care possible for the children we help.
The mission of Florida Hospital SHARES International is made possible by the valuable contributions of our donors and highly qualified medical volunteers, together we partner to heal children and provide hope.
